Background
Antimicrobial Resistance is an increasingly serious threat to global public health, preventing the effective treatment of an ever-increasing range of infections caused by bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi. Being a complex problem that affects all of society and is driven by many interconnected factors. Isolated interventions have limited impact. The conference brought together experts from India and the UK together to discuss emerging innovations in AMR diagnostics and drug discovery, and curate new ideas in combatting this global menace.
About the Conference:
On behalf of the UK Science & Innovation Network, Dr. Raghavan co-organised the conference with RSC India and OSPF focussing discussions mainly on Affordable Diagnostics & Low-cost high-impact drug discovery.
